Lectionary
-
The Lectionary is a scheduled set of Bible readings used in many churches to guide worship week by week. Its roots go back to early Christianity, and even further to Judaism, where Scripture was read aloud in an ordered way in synagogues. Early Christians, many of whom were Jewish, carried this practice into the church, shaping it around the life of Jesus.
Tap below to find the readings for each week. We’d love for you to read them ahead of time, on your own, with a friend, or as a family. So you come in already grounded in the text. Our hope is that Sunday feels less like “hearing it for the first time” and more like returning to something God has already been saying to you all week.
